What does a Certified Bereavement Buddy™ learn?
The curriculum provides a comprehensive orientation in grief education, the principals of critical incident stress management, and best practices in peer support. The interactive modules offer practical knowledge, standards of care, and a solid foundation for understanding all aspects of grief.  The training provides a toolbox of assistance modalities that can be used to confidently support grieving individuals and families.

Who can become certified?
Any person who has firsthand experience with loss or who is a professional working in the field may become certified. 

Do I need to attend all the modules to be certified?

Are continuing education credits available?
They are currently pending.

Are meals provided?
Breakfast and lunch are included.

Does IGI provide marketing materials upon certification?
Yes. IGI offers helpful resources and articles designed to help you build relationships with clients and the community. Certification includes a free listing on IGI’s website.

Who are the instructors?
Core instructors are Lynda Cheldelin Fell, Linda Findlay, and Deana Martin. All three are national experts in the field with extensive credentials in the industry. Their bios are available on the website. A rotating panel of guest experts may also participate.
