The first year after loss is often spent in a fog as mourners face a complete disruption of life. The second year after loss is often harder than the first, thanks in part to the shock wearing off. Mourners now face the long process of reorganizing life patterns and learning to adapt to living with their loved one in their heart instead of their arms.
